Notes
This recipe originally comes from the Hershey's Chocolate Treasury cookbook, released in 1984 and kept in first my mom's family growing up, then ours. The original recipe uses chocolate chips, but my brother (who is the main one to bake these) has taken a liking to using a different chip in order to prevent the cookies from having an overwhelming chocolate flavour. I myself am partial to adding white chocolate chips.
